.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Wednesday Night)
Issued at 239 AM CDT Tue Apr 8 2025

Another chilly start to the day is expected acrs at least the Nrn
portion of the FA on Tues mrng. Clear skies and encroaching sfc high
pressure should promote low temperatures falling to the low 30s, and
even near or at freezing condns in isolated spots. Frost potential
wl be the main concern for much of Nrn AR yet again thru sunrise
Tues mrng.

Cool aftn condns wl be seen again over much of the state w/ area
highs in the upper 50s to low to mid 60s fm Nrn and N/Ern AR to
Cntrl and S/Wrn AR, respectively.

Dry and settled wx wl be noted again on Wed as sfc high pressure
drives the local fcst pattern. Warming aftn temps are expected as
Srly flow resumes over the region, w/ area readings climbing to the
low to mid 70s.

.LONG TERM...
(Thursday through Monday)
Issued at 239 AM CDT Tue Apr 8 2025

To begin the period, a weak cold front is expected to move across
the state bringing light rain chances to the northeastern part of
the state Thursday afternoon. Widespread rain is not expected and
QPF amounts will likely stay below a tenth of an inch. Additionally,
severe weather is not expected at this time. Calm and dry conditions
are expected through the rest of the period as high pressure sets up
over the state.

On the bright side, this pattern setting up for this week and into
the weekend will be great for drying up the state and decreasing
crests across area rivers. Temperatures are also expected to remain
near average to slightly below average for this time of year.

High temperatures are expected to be in the mid 60s to upper 70s
with overnight lows dropping into the lower 40s to mid 50s across
the state.
